This small series of five garments is inspired by the huipil and the Japanese technique Boro, which involves creating fabrics from scraps. We used leftover cotton woven on a pedal loom in Pátzcuaro, Michoacán from the beautiful Candor project to create the fabrics that make up each piece.

Techniques: cotton scraps woven on a pedal loom, with hand embroidery. Some of the scraps were dyed with añil and pericón by Gabriela Martínez and Isabel Gijón.
